Talvi alkaa kääntyä pikkuhiljaa kevään puolelle ja talvetetut Chilit aloittelevat kasvuaan uusien silmujen muodossa. Viime kausi oli vielä aivan täynnä harjoittelevan kasvattajan viritelmiä jotka veivät harrastusta tietenkin osittain eteenpäin mutta toistelin silti vanhoja virheitä edelleenkin. Kausi 2015 on alkanut & nyt on altakasteluruukut jokaisella Habanerolla, Puutarhamulta & Biobizz Grow & Bloom käytössä. Chileinä olen kiintynyt Habaneroihin persoonallisten makujensa vuoksi ja ikkunallani on tällä hetkellä Habanero Yellow, Habanero Chocolate, Habanero Caribbean Red & Habanero Peruvian White ja uusin istutus kun ja jos kylvö onnistuu lisää Habanero White Giantin kokoelmiini. Nyt on suunnitelmana rakentaa keskikokoinen EBB&Flood hydrojärjestelmä muutamille Chileille testimielessä mutta tästä lisää tuonnempana.

HABANERO WHITE GIANT

This variety can grow quite large (up to 80in) in well manured soil. The pods are slightly larger than the conventional habanero averaging 7cm in length x 5cm wide. The colour of the fruits varies from the green to the yellow and the white. Like other habaneros, the pods have an intense flavour.
This pepper was originally obtained by a renowned chile farmer from Italy named Luigi Mauriello. The Habanero White Giant or Giant White Habanero is a variety that he found at an Italian trader 20 years ago (1992-1993), this variety comes from an unknown area of the Caribbean. The trader has no more of this variety because he has failed to regenerate the seeds, so now Luigi possesses the true original variety. Luigi distributed the seeds of this variety all over the world, but few people have managed to cultivate it, because it is a plant quite difficult
